Zeus’s Kitchen Menu Design
A 3-page restaurant menu with a cover design, made for a Greek restaurant named Zeus’s Kitchen.
The main goal of this project was to create an authentically Greek menu design, incorporating the bright blues on white that are commonly found throughout Greece with the symmetrical geometric patterns of the Art Deco visual style, bringing a fresh take on a classic theme.
This design is organized by page, made in a way that allows flexibility in the way the pages are ordered. Text is organized in the middle and separated by category in a way that is easy for viewers to read while being visually appealing.
The biggest challenge I faced with this challenge was adding depth to the patterns and menu layout. The elements I used originally looked flat and didn’t pop, resulting in an underwhelming design.
To fix this, I divided the prism patterns in two, with one side being slightly lighter in colour than the other. I then added a ridge to the inside of the pattern, giving it the illusion of being 3D.
