Earth Keepers Magazine
A seasonal 22-page magazine (excluding covers) about the various changes brought about each season, with this issue focusing on Autumn.
The main goal of this project was to create a magazine inspired by the four seasons, with the issue I would be working on be based on Fall. I was tasked with creating the logo, branding assets, layout structure, and colour palette for the magazine, with full creative freedom over the artistic direction.
The design is organized into multiple spreads, with one feature article and three sub-articles selected by the client. The magazine also features a custom cover.
Each page is structured in a way that feels unique and engaging, yet allows the reader to view spreads smoothly without anything feeling out of place.
The use of sketch-style drawings and smooth elements, combined with peaceful photography, helps capture that sleepy feeling that gives Autumn it’s charm as it transitions into winter.
One of the biggest challenges I faced with this project was finding a balance between the various elements I was working with. Making sure there wasn’t too much negative space with the sketches, while also making sure the colourful silhouette elements didn’t feel invasive was a challenge that took some time to figure out how to deal with.
